15-4-2018

Engineer Neemat Frem launched his Electoral Program 18 as a candidate in the parliamentary elections of 2018, for the Maronite seat in keserwan-jbeil constituency. People from all over Keserwan and Jbeil came to this big electoral event attended also by political, economic and social public figures, with civil society representatives, mayors and parliamentary candidate Minister Ziad Baroud.

Nathalie Bou karam presented the documentaries summarizing his initiative “a better Lebanon” leading to his current campaign “People First”. Afterwards, Frem started his speech by describing the crowds as the power force that will make the change and able to identify the corrupt and the thief, and anyone who considers the state his own farm to exploit for his own interests, and steals people for his own benefit, and considers institutions as spoils of war where he hires his own incompetent supporters, and makes people feel that everything he does is for their own sake but effectively he denies their rights pushing them to migrate. “Anyone who makes us ashamed if we have values, principles and faith is the real enemy for the human person in society”.

Addressing his 1300 supporters, he said: “12 disciples could change the world, what about 1300 young men and women from all over Keserwan and Jbeil? I know you’re sick me of hearing promises, me too. The time has come for urgent action. 6th of May will be the beginning. Our journey together is still ongoing.  You are the ones who made me believe that Lebanon worth the sacrifice.”

Turning to the topic of “a better Lebanon”, he considered that forces of evil are weak but cause a big fuss. But the forces of good, when they move, prevail, and we are strong through the one who strengthens us. Our project is much bigger than the elections.  It is a process towards a new Lebanon that looks like the best we have.
