Frem from Daroun…6 May is the beginning

10-04-2018

"Our children deserve life and dignity and not a kind of a farm that we’re living in today, and this will only happen by making Lebanon look like a successful Lebanese, not the other way around," said the candidate for the Maronite seat in the Keserwan-Jbeil district. "Is it reasonable that every child is born today with 30,000 $ as a debt?"

Frem delivered his speech during a meeting in the hall of the Church of Our Lady of Transition - Daroun, in the presence of Mayor Nizar Chemaly and members of the Municipal Council and Mokhtar Adel Zakhia Al Meer and the head of the Wakf Committee George Chaker Chemaly and heads of clubs and associations and a crowd of local residents.

Frem thanked the people of Daroun and saying: "This is not my first meeting in Daroun. We already met 3 years before here and we discussed the issue of public debt, agriculture and economic, and waste crisis we’re facing today. What hurt me the most is that I could see where r we heading and I couldn’t change a thing. And here we are today in the middle of an economic storm, for all this I decided to run for the elections with a hope of change.”

“What matters the most is to say after 4 years that I was productive, I made a change, the way I work daily in my institutions. 6 May is the beginning and not the end.”

The meeting started with a speech by Monseigneur Hanna Khoury, who welcomed the guest and all attendees. He described Engineer Neemat Frem as the son of the church and the son of the late Georges Frem who never waited for the elections to give. He gave and still gives.
