Frem Denounces Shameful Slander Against the Patriarch: The Truth Shall Set You Free

The Chairman of Project Watan’s Executive Board, MP Neemat Frem, strongly condemned the slander directed at Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rahi, calling it both disgraceful and shameful.

In a post on his X account, Frem wrote: “Wretched is the time when a stance on confining arms to legitimate authorities is met with a frenzied campaign of intimidation and accusations of treason against a religious and national figure of the stature of the Maronite Patriarch.

This slander is disgraceful and shameful. Enough of endlessly distorting, denying, and twisting the facts – enough of burning bridges and extinguishing every hope.

Bkerke and the Patriarch require no certification from anyone. Today, the matter has gone beyond a mere difference of opinion; it has become arrows aimed at the very essence of the nation, stabbing the Constitution, its institutions, and every Lebanese who looks to the State and the Army as the guardians of dignity and sovereignty.
