Frem on the Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide: Life is stronger than death, love is stronger than hate, and light is stronger than darkness

On the occasion of the commemoration of the Armenian Genocide and its victims, the chairman of “Project Watan’s” Executive Board, Deputy Neemat Frem, visited the Aram Bezikian Museum in Jbeil, which documents the sufferings of the Armenian people and the journey of thousands of orphans who witnessed the tragedy of massacres and displacement, and grew up in this orphanage. Accompanied by a delegation from “Project Watan” - Jbeil, Frem laid two wreaths in his own name and in that of PW, in honor of the souls of the victims and of the founder of the Birds’ Nest orphanage, Maria Jacobsen, who embraced the genocide’s children.

Father Ardavast escorted the delegation and thanked Project Watan for this gesture, which contributes to strengthening the spirit of solidarity and compassion, and reflects the commitment to support humanitarian causes and promote a culture of truth and loyalty.

Frem, from his part, left a spontaneous heartfelt note in the golden book; he expressed his “great admiration for the museum, which tells the story and history of the Armenian people and their suffering during the 1915 genocide.”

He also expressed his appreciation for the spirit of resistance and resilience shown by the Armenian people in the face of the horrific and wicked events they have endured -- events that have affected all of humanity.

Frem finally emphasized the importance of goodness and the spirit of life as the only way to love and forgiveness. “With these values, we can go forward and achieve growth, to prove to everyone that life is stronger than death, love is stronger than hate, and light is stronger than darkness,” he wrote, wishing for the Armenian people to “remain radiant as they have always been.”
